Happy New Year’s to You!

2008 is coming to an end, and I can honestly say that I am happy to see it go. In addition to the very bad state of the economy throughout 2008, I also had some unpleasant events in my personal life over the last three hundred and sixty-five days. I don’t really want to get into the details of what happened to me, but let’s just say that the majority of the memories that I have from the last year are ones that I won’t be working hard to hold on to.

While 2008 has left a bad taste in my mouth, this doesn’t mean that I am pessimistic about what 2009 has in store. On the contrary, I am really excited for the New Year to get underway. I have had bad years in the past, but the one pattern that has never failed me is that all of my bad years are followed by really good ones.

To ensure that 2009 gets off to a good start for me, I am going to be spending it with several of my closest friends in Los Angeles. I know we’re going to have a lot of fun, and I can’t think of any other way that I would rather spend the start of the newest year.
