While last year is a year that I will be happy to forget, I don’t want to feel the same way about this entire year. Normally, I’m not the type of person who makes these decisions for New Year’s. In spite of that, I decided it was time for me to change my approach up. The idea I selected was to start traveling more this year. Once I made up my mind, I started browsing the Internet for travel deals.

For anyone who doubted my commitment, I have already taken a trip to Los Angeles this year. As a result of planning ahead, my LAX car rental, hotel and flight had all been booked since the start of the year. Having the ability to literally pick up my LAX car rental in minutes meant that I didn’t have any concerns throughout the duration of my time away. Thanks to the great way I felt throughout my trip, I knew that the resolution I had made at the very beginning of the year was truly a beneficial one.

While I would have been completely content if I got to stay in Los Angeles for a longer period of time, all good trips have to come to an end. However, you have to remember that nearly three-fourths of the year is yet to come! I haven’t decided where I am going to go on my next trip, but I do know I will be taking at least two more trips this year, and wherever they end up taking me should be a very enjoyable adventure.

Since I was a little kid, I have always seen myself living in Los Angeles. While you probably assume that I want to pursue acting, that’s actually not what I want to do with my life. I have always lived being active and staying in shape, so my dream job would be to run my own gym in Los Angeles. I am well aware of the fact that I would have to start at the bottom and take on a lot of competition to make my dream come true, but I am an extremely competitive person, so that is a challenge that I would be willing to take on.

However, since I am a rational person, I decided that it would be a good idea for me to actually visit Los Angeles before I made the decision to move there. About five months ago, I took an entire week and spent it in Los Angeles. I realize I could have just gone for a couple of days, but I wanted to really get a feel for what the city was like.

After spending that time there, I am more convinced than ever that I am capable of making my dream come true in the city of Los Angeles!

I know that there are a lot of people who think that planning ahead is boring. While I can understand why people feel this way, I actually think that planning ahead makes life easier. Everyone likes to think that it’s fun to wing things from one moment to the next, but in reality, this can be an extremely stressful way to go through life. This is especially true in the case of taking a trip.

While I don’t think there is any need to plan out every moment of a trip, I definitely think that you will enjoy yourself a lot more if you take a little time to get prepared ahead of time. When I say get prepared, I am specifically talking about making all of the necessary travel arrangements. That includes your flight, hotel, rental car and any other arrangements that require a reservation. You may think that I’m just being dull, but when I went to Los Angeles with my friend two weeks ago, I had a reserved LAX car rental and he did not, and I can tell you that his trip got off to a very bad start (which caused him to be stressed for a significant portion of the trip).

Although I am currently going to school in Chicago, I can definitely see myself living in Los Angeles once I graduate (believe me, if a company from Los Angeles offers me a job, I will not hesitate to take it). Now, don’t get me wrong; I’m not one of those people who has seen a reality show on MTV and decided that Los Angeles is the perfect place for me. No, I have actually spent quite a bit of time in the city of Los Angeles, and I have never taken a trip there that I didn’t enjoy.

The reason that I have had the opportunity to visit Los Angeles on multiple occasions is because I have a cousin who lives there. My cousin and I have always gotten along really well, so he invites me out on a regular basis to go to Los Angeles and hang out with him and his friends.

In fact, Los Angeles is where I will be going in less than a month for my Spring Break trip. My cousin will also be on Spring Break the same week, so we will have plenty of time to really live it up in the beautiful city of Los Angeles.

I really like my job. I know a lot of people hate their jobs, so I feel lucky that I have the opportunity to earn a good living doing something that I actually enjoy. I think one of the reasons that I like my job so much is because I work for a company that does a lot of different things to ensure that they succeed. They are always pushing us to do our best and to go above & beyond, and while I know there are people who would not like this kind of atmosphere, it is actually the type of environment that allows me to do well.

As an example of what I’ve achieved, because my company is planning to expand to Los Angeles, they asked me if I would be interested in moving to Los Angeles and working to get things off the ground over there. Before I gave them my answer, they sent me to Los Angeles to see the city for myself. Once I arrived at LAX, I picked up my rental car, and spent the next two days checking out Los Angeles. I ended up really liking the city, so when I got back, I told them that I would be happy to accept the new (and higher paying) position.

Although we didn’t start out in a long distance relationship, that is currently the status of the relationship that I have with my girlfriend. Even though it has been anything but easy, I know that we love each other with all our hearts, so I am confident that we are going to make it through this part of our relationship. The reason that we are currently in a long distance relationship is because my girlfriend is a year older than me, and when she graduated from college at the end of the last semester, she was offered an amazing job in Los Angeles. She was going to decline the offer to stay with me, but I wouldn’t let her do that to herself. So, we are going to be apart from each other until I graduate from college and move to Los Angeles myself.

Fortunately, I am almost done with this semester, and then I will only have one semester left until I get my degree and can head off to Los Angeles. Even though we don’t get to see each other often, I have been out to visit her a couple of times, and although it’s always hard saying goodbye to her at LAX, the time I get to spend with her makes everything else worth it.

Although I will admit that I devote the majority of my time throughout the year to work, when the holiday season comes around, I demand that I have time to spend with my family. Fortunately, because I am such a hard worker throughout the year, my boss has no problem with me using all of my vacation time during this point in the year. Using vacation time to simply be around your family may not sound that exciting to you, but it’s exactly what I like to do. Taking a vacation from work is all about relaxing and recharging your batteries, and there is no time when I feel better or more relaxed than when I’m around my family.

Just like every holiday season, we have already done a lot of festive things together. Even though we fly to LAX right before Christmas to spend Christmas Day in Los Angeles with my parents, we still go all out in decorating our house. From putting ornaments on the tree to hanging up lots of lights outside, no one would ever accuse us of not having enough Christmas spirit!

I have a son who is just over three years old. Although I honestly didn’t know if I was ever going to be a parent, the day my son was born, my entire world changed. If you are not a parent yet, this statement may sound really corny, but you will understand exactly what I’m talking about one day when you have your own child. The reason that your world changes is because you realize you are no longer the most important thing, and you have to be responsible for another human’s life.

Recently, I took a trip with my son to see my parents. They obviously love their grandson, and want to see him as often as possible. Since they live in California, we had to fly to LAX. I was nervous about taking my son on this trip, but he did really well. He was still in a good mood when we arrived at LAX, and fortunately I had made my car rental ahead of time, so I was able to pickup the rental car (with car seat) directly from LAX. It was nice seeing my parents, and also nice to get some sleep while they took care of my son when he woke up at night!

Although it seemed like it was still a long time away, I just realized today that March is just around a month and a half away. I think the reason that I thought it was longer is because ever since the holiday season arrived, it has just seemed like time has been flying by. Not only was I extremely busy during the holiday season, but once the New Year got here, my friends did not want to stop the celebration, so we continued celebrating the arrival of 2009 for longer than just about anyone who I know.

Even though things have temporarily slowed down, the fun is going to pick up again once March arrives. The reason for this is that I am going to be taking a trip to Los Angeles. Not only is Los Angeles a great city for anyone to visit, but I actually used to live there, so when I go to Los Angeles, there are going to be lots of old friends and even some family members for me to visit. I’m going for a full six days, and I know that as soon as I arrive at LAX, it’s going to be a non-stop experience of serious fun.
