I know that there are a lot of people who think that planning ahead is boring. While I can understand why people feel this way, I actually think that planning ahead makes life easier. Everyone likes to think that it’s fun to wing things from one moment to the next, but in reality, this can be an extremely stressful way to go through life. This is especially true in the case of taking a trip.

While I don’t think there is any need to plan out every moment of a trip, I definitely think that you will enjoy yourself a lot more if you take a little time to get prepared ahead of time. When I say get prepared, I am specifically talking about making all of the necessary travel arrangements. That includes your flight, hotel, rental car and any other arrangements that require a reservation. You may think that I’m just being dull, but when I went to Los Angeles with my friend two weeks ago, I had a reserved LAX car rental and he did not, and I can tell you that his trip got off to a very bad start (which caused him to be stressed for a significant portion of the trip).
