Although I will admit that I devote the majority of my time throughout the year to work, when the holiday season comes around, I demand that I have time to spend with my family. Fortunately, because I am such a hard worker throughout the year, my boss has no problem with me using all of my vacation time during this point in the year. Using vacation time to simply be around your family may not sound that exciting to you, but it’s exactly what I like to do. Taking a vacation from work is all about relaxing and recharging your batteries, and there is no time when I feel better or more relaxed than when I’m around my family.

Just like every holiday season, we have already done a lot of festive things together. Even though we fly to LAX right before Christmas to spend Christmas Day in Los Angeles with my parents, we still go all out in decorating our house. From putting ornaments on the tree to hanging up lots of lights outside, no one would ever accuse us of not having enough Christmas spirit!
