For many years now, the Los Angeles Lakers have been my favorite basketball team. Although a lot of people have just become fans in recent years as a result of Kobe Bryant, I have been following the Lakers consistently since the days of Magic Johnson. Even though I like other sports, including baseball and football, I simply don’t have a professional team in either of these sports that I’m as dedicated to as I am the Los Angeles Lakers.

Because I don’t live that far away from California, I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take at least one or two trips to California every year to see the Lakers play on their home court. Since I’ve now been to LA quite a few times, I have learned a few tips and tricks about traveling there. One thing that I have learned is that it is very helpful to make your car rental reservation ahead of time. Not only will this allow you to pick up your rental car in a matter of minutes at LAX, but it is also the easiest way to find a cheap car rental special.
